Frequently Asked Questions

Answers to the most common questions about our personalized video report service.
How can I get my radiology images to Mediphany?
We currently offer 3 methods for sending your radiology images to us:
  1. You can upload the files from your computer.
  2. You can request that your radiology site upload the images on your behalf.
  3. If you have access to your images through a website portal, you can provide us with your login credentials to allow us to produce the video report using your portal.
What if I don’t have my radiology files?
If you don't have either your radiology images or report, you can reach out to our team at info@mediphany and we will gladly help you get them from your imaging center.
How long will it take to receive my video report?
If you select the standard report, your video report will be available to you in less than 72 hours from the time we receive your images and text report. If you select the express report, then your video report will be available in less than 24 hours.
Is this an online/digital process?
Yes, you don’t have to sign any physical paperwork, print anything or send us anything. Everything is done via the internet to make things more convenient for you.
How long will my video report be?
The length of your video report depends on the complexity of the findings, but typically our personal reports range from 5-15 minutes in length and we provide additional videos that are related to your specific study to enhance your understanding. Most reports have more than 30 minutes of total video content.
Can I download my report?
Yes, you can download your new video report to your laptop or desktop computer.  Whether you download the video or not, it will be kept permanently and securely on your personal online Mediphany portal for you to access whenever you need it or even share it with others.
Can I share my report?
Yes, you can share your video report!
Once your video report has been produced you will have access to a shareable link that you can send to your family or others so that they can view your video report online.
What happens after I make payment?
You will be sent through to a page where you will be able to upload your radiology images and radiology report. You will also be given the option to ask any questions you have about your radiology report before we make your the video report.
What payment methods are accepted?
We accept payment using all major credit cards including Visa, Mastercard, Discover, American Express as well as Google Pay.
Is it safe to make payment?
Very safe. We use Stripe as our payment platform which is trusted by millions of businesses across the globe, including fortune 500 companies.
Is my medical information safe?
Yes, absolutely. Our systems have been developed from the start with security in mind and we ensure that we are HIPAA compliant for maximum security. Nobody outside of Mediphany will be able to view your video report or imaging files unless you have invited them to do so.
Can I get a second opinion?

Unfortunately, no, our service is educational and intended to help people understand the jargon-filled reports that they have received using the power of video, comparisons to normal examples and other visual aides.

We do not provide independent medical opinions. We have found that most people that ask for a second opinion really just want to understand what has been diagnosed and find it very helpful to see with their own eyes what has been diagnosed and the comparisons to normal or abnormal examples that Mediphany provides. But if you truly want a second independent interpretation of your imaging study, then Mediphany cannot provide that. There are other services online that you can use for this purpose.

What if I don't have a CD/DVD Reader?

If you have been given your images on a CD/DVD, but do not have a disc reader on your computer, here are 3 options for getting the images to us:

Option 1:

Take your images to a store that can transfer the images from the disc to either another format or stored in the cloud. Major drugstore chains such as CVS, Rite Aid, Walmart and Walgreens have stores with photo centers. When you bring your disc to a store with a photo center, they can transfer the images to an online storage site (the “Cloud”) that you can access online or to another storage medium that you can use like a USB thumb drive.

Once uploaded to the cloud, you can either download the files from the store’s cloud storage to your personal computer and then upload to Mediphany OR you can email us with the login information to the cloud service and we can put the images into Mediphany’s cloud for you.

a. Price range is around $10-$26 depending on the store.

b. Time to get images can vary significantly

c. For more information, here are links to the services of these stores:

Option 2:

Buy an external DVD drive and upload the files either directly to Mediphany off of the disc or save to your computer first and then upload to Mediphany.

a. There is a wide range of prices but a simple external DVD player for a laptop computer can sell for as little as $15

Option 3:

If a friend, colleague, or family member has a computer or laptop with a CD drive then this can also be used, all you will need is an internet connection to upload your files via the Mediphany login once you have copied the files across.

Can I view my video report on my phone?

Yes. You will be able to view and share your video report from your mobile device.
